  • Computational electromagnetism Finite difference methods, finite elements, finite volumes for time dependent electromagnetic problems.
  • Methods of finite differences in the field of time Classical and non-conventional techniques, direct and indirect algorithms, hybrid schemes, superior order discretization techniques, curvilinear coordinate systems, etc.
  • Error minimization and optimized algorithms Techniques for reducing phase errors, improving on a single-frequency or broadband basis, generalizing areas with losses, separate or simultaneous treatment of space-time errors, improved time integrators, determining the optimal time step, interfacial discrimination, etc.
  • Computational modeling of problems with uncertainties Stochastic FDTD techniques, polynomial chaos, intrusive stochastic algorithms, collocation methods and sparse grids, compressed sensing, Monte-Carlo methods.
  • Parallelization of algorithms in graphics processing cards Minimization of simulation execution times, acceleration of explicit methods and implicit algorithms, implementation of best practices
  • Modeling and simulation of realistic problems Effects of EM radiation on biological tissues, determination of lightning lattice fields, EM compatibility problems, metallic, nanomaterial and graphene devices, optical filters, wireless power transmission, antennas, wireless propagation, etc.
